Explore East Yorkshire
6th September 2018
East Yorkshire truly is one of the most beautiful places in the UK, making it the perfect destination for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life!
With that in mind, we'd love to recommend some of our favourite things to do and see whilst you're here.
Completed in 1400, Beverley Minster is the largest Church of England Parish Church in England! Between April - October it's open Monday to Saturday 9am - 5:30pm, and between November - March it's open Monday to Saturday 9am - 4pm.
Admission is free, and tours are available too. For more information about what's on, visit their website here.
There's something about sea air which is so calming and relaxing - wouldn't you agree? - and the beach at Bridlington is one of the county's finest.
One TripAdvisor reviewer describes it as a "beautiful dog-friendly beach", so it could be the perfect day trip if you have your furry friend in tow.
It's only right that you round off your trip to the coast with fish and chips, and one of our favourite places is Fish and Chips at 149. Find them here.
Sewerby Hall & Gardens
With an impressive house, gardens and zoo, Sewerby Hall really does have something the whole family will enjoy! Interesting for both young and old alike, the house is well laid out with plenty to see.
We personally love the vintage afternoon teas - why not visit their website to plan your visit?
Shopping in Beverley
A pint-sized York, Beverley boats a wide selection of independent shops and retailers, and shopping day here will not disappoint.
We love White Rabbit Chocolatiers for handmade artisan chocolate treats, which can be found on Dyer Lane, and their chocolate cafe is the perfect place to refuel after a hard mornings shopping!
That's just a handful of our favourite things to do around the county, but you can read more on our Attractions page.
